Excellence in education, inclusion and technology


At the start of the Millennium, Hugh founded The Brainary. He based the company on the premise that for learning to be effective it needed to be relevant, interesting, inspirational, and above all... fun!  With that in mind, we began distributing and co-developing educational board games, books and counselling resources for schools and therapists with great success. 


Assistive technology for people with special needs became the next stream of the company. In recent years, our team have researched and sourced cutting-edge assistive technology for people with disabilities. As part of the process, we became a registered NDIS provider and have contributed to the teaching of social skills to children on the autism spectrum using robots. 


Recognising the world had entered a period of rapid change, involving the digitization of most products and services, Hugh added a STE(A)M stream to the company under the banner to cater for the needs of educators teaching STE(A)M. 


The Brainary has progressively evolved to focus on education and health through world-leading technology and learning resources. In doing so, we remain dedicated to upholding our ongoing mission which is “to inspire our customers to use our innovative technology and learning materials that fit with their educational and wellbeing needs”.
