With the EZ Robot Lost in Space & Makerspace Pack

 Lost on Makerspace

Solo astronaut adventurer Jane the JD Robot lands on an abandoned world after her space shuttle crashes upon entry. She now must build a communication device with the only things she manages to retrieve – a developer kit and 3D printer files. She also has access to the various Makerspace resources left behind by the once densely populated planet, including art and craft supplies, woodwork, metalwork, ceramics, electronics and anything else she can discover.

But wait… there is a ticking bomb! She must have the communication device completed in time for the passing satellite to pick up her message and relay it to Earth so she can be rescued!

This is just one highly engaging learning activity utilising the flexible EZ-Robot system to help inspire girls to learn coding – the language of the 21st century!

Create or improve the Makerspace in your school!

Want to provide a space for innovation and inspiration in the classroom, library, shed, garden or even a hallway? It’s not the space as such but the collaborative mindset and accessibility that creates an innovation hub.

A makerspace is a creative hands-on hub for students to play, imagine, tinker, invent, create, and innovate using arts, craft, technology and recycled materials. To set up a makerspace it is important to have materials available that inspire creativity. These can range from pencils, paper, cardboard and glue to sewing machines, woodwork, 3D printers, old computers and tools that can be pulled apart to create a robot or any other project!

Makerspaces are all about problem solving, cooperation, embracing mistakes, resiliency, experimentation, curiosity and computational thinking in STEM! They are an excellent asset to any school’s program be it part of a lunchtime club or STEM curriculum.
