Anger Control Resource Pack for Children

$378.32

Anger is a feeling or emotion with a range of intensity from mild annoyance to intense rage. While the feelings associated with anger represent normal human responses to unmet needs and or unfair treatment, uncontrolled anger can become a problem with serious ramifications.

With this important learning in mind, children need to learn how to appropriately control angry feelings as part of their healthy social and emotional development. We have created a pack of practical resources and tools to use when teaching children these important skills.

The Anger Control Resource Pack includes:

Controlling Anger - A Solution Focused Approach for Children - is designed to be used in the primary phase and is aimed at students who experience difficulties in managing their behaviour within a range of school contexts.

Anger Management Posters - Clever illustrations amusingly depicting why getting SO angry is really not necessary or a good thing!  Buy these before you explode! (six posters)

Anger Control Ball - teaches children many anger control techniques. Just throw the ball to another player, who then reads and discusses the statement nearest his/her right thumb. Statements include things to think about and things to do.

Escape From Anger Island - is designed with the busy counsellor in mind, and it can be played in just 15 minutes. There are six skills in total, and one skill is the focus of each 15-minute session.

Kelly Bear Teaches About Self Control - DVD - Children learn to accept responsibility for their behaviour and a variety of useful coping skills, such as self-talk, to control their negative emotions and impulses.

Remote Control Anger Control - game is a set of four card games that address these findings by focusing on three essential skills for controlling anger: PAUSE and identify additional feelings. REWIND and learn from past experiences. FAST FORWARD and think ahead about potential consequences.
