The ABC’s of Anger
Leads children to discovery! It contains easy to read stories involving some aspect of the theme ‘anger’. It provides children with an awareness of differing degrees of anger and helps them explore choices for responding when they are angry.
Escape From Anger Island
Designed with the busy counsellor in mind, and it can be played in just 15 minutes. There are six skills in total, and one skill is the focus of each 15-minute session.
Smart Sharks – Take a Chomp Out of Anger
Take a Chomp Out of Anger is a card game based on the popular card game 21. In this challenging and fun game, players learn key skills while they try to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. The card game will help players learn to understand the feelings behind their anger and will help them to deal with anger in an appropriate way.
Remote Control Anger Control
This game includes a set of four card games that address these findings by focusing on three essential skills for controlling anger: PAUSE and identify additional feelings. REWIND and learn from past experiences. FAST FORWARD and think ahead about potential consequences.
Activities to Help Young People Deal with Anger
These activities have a particular focus on developing skills for managing anger, conflict and relating to others. They provide specific, structured tasks that can be used during one-to-one mentoring intervention and for group work.
